And so dear friends, the day has come when I can at long last deem my story [COMPLETE].
When I started writing Salvation, I wanted to write an epic tale, that intertwined the paths of two legendary heroes of gaming, letting them join forces to defeat the most ruthless force in the galaxy. I adore both Half-Life and Mass Effect. No other games have ever made me care about the characters so much. About their plight, and about those around them.
I wanted to write a story that would be, I suppose, my own variant to Half-Life 3 and/or Mass Effect 3. A story that brought finality to both these characters worlds, and allowed them the prospect of getting some sense of normality back in their chaotic lives, after the grueling, heart wrenching struggle they've each been through. And I hope I've successfully done that.
I wanted to incorporate various elements of both games, mix them together, and add my own twist. It wouldn't be a Half-Life fic without the obligatory crowbar bludgeoning, crawling through sewers and vents, gravity gun poundings, and nerdy science moments. And it wouldn't be a Mass Effect fic without one (or more) of Shepard's signature speeches, his charm/intimidate interrupts, conversations and romances in between missions, and him being an utter bad ass in the face of utter annihilation. So I can only hope that I've done both games, and both characters justice.
There are so many people I want to thank. All of you who have watched and read from the beginning. I am humbled, and flattered that you have enjoyed it.
And for any of you who may not have enjoyed my work, I do apologize. And hope maybe I can make a fan of you yet
But either way. Thank you ALL!
There are a select few I'd like to give a special thanks to at this moment. Those who have helped me along with this story, and supported it pretty much since I started writing it.
First and foremost is my good friend Michael Coffey - The Wasteland Warrior. He supported my idea from the getgo, and has provided me with terrific feedback on the chapters I wrote every step of the way.
lethe-gray For being a great supporter, constantly providing me with great writing suggestions, and being a terrific proofreader on any errors I missed
Vadrigos For being a good friend, and for the use of some of his fantastic, and epic monologue lines. Especially for the Reapers. Every villain needs a good monologue. And he's got some of the best!
Eudaimonium For giving me a lot of amazing in-depth feedback and suggestions on my work. And for being a fan Really appreciated
malovence For being just an overwhelmingly terrific supporter, loyal follower, and great fan. I'm very very happy you've enjoyed my work. And Thank you so much for your constant, unbridled words of flattery and encouragement. It means a lot to me, truly.
Finjix For following along since the story started, and being such a friendly, and loyal reader
And there are so many more to thank, too many to list by name!
So my friends, the story ends... But the saga continues. As you already know, I got an idea for a sequel already brewing, and rattling around in my empty head. Plus there may be a few other short stories in the Salvation universe that you may see surface. But until then, I'm taking, to quote Commander Shepard, "A nice... long... vacation..."
Stay tuned ladies and gents! And thanks for following SλLVλTION: A Half-Life/Mass Effect Universe Fan Fiction!

The Saga Continues
Ladies and Gentleman, I am so proud to bring you this continuation of Salvation: Episode II Layer of the Shadow Broker. Since it's been three freakin' years since I posted, I figured we could all use a bit of a recap. So here it is! When we last joined Freeman and Shepard, about 2 months had passed since their ordeal on the cruise ship from hell. Namely, the Carmenta Illustria. A cruise that was taken to celebrate their defeat of the Reapers. Aside from a few bad nightmares, involving a ghostly face from his past, Gordon has settled in quite well living among the crew of the Normandy. He's made friends with pretty much everyone. Even EDI came to him for relationship advice. Meanwhile, it's been business as usual for Shepard and the gang - except for the fact that Shepard is now in the midst of planning a wedding. His betrothed however is not currently on the Normandy. Recently having been made an Admiral, she's back on Rannoch - where it was recently discovered that the geth have
Teaser Time!
I know it's been about damn near 3 years since I last made a submission to forward Episode II of Salvation. Mostly I've been pre-occupied with our Youtube channel, plus I've had a whole bunch of shit I went through. But never mind all that, damn it I missed writing. So recently I starred at the dreaded blank page, been re-reading some of my story, and before I knew it I started typing away. And I'm well into chapter 6! As a matter of fact, you could say I'm done with it (15 pages in so far) but I wanna make this one a two-parter. You guys (whoever may still be out there) have waited damn near 3 years, so I want to give you guys something substantive. But to prove that I got something cooking in the pot, I wanted to give you guys this teaser. Enjoy! “Every human in the galaxy learns in school that Gordon Freeman gave his life in one last valiant act of defiance against the Combine.” The physicist's eyes shifted from left to right, as he began to look around for the source of the
The dead shall rise
I've started writing again. Next chapter is in the works. That is all.
Hello my neglected followers
Greetings my dear neglected followers. I know it's been quite literally years since I've made any truly meaningful submissions here on Deviantart, be it any actual artwork or the continuation of my fan fiction. And for this I want to apologize. For the past two years my life has had its ups and downs, and the problem is it's been ricocheting so fast from up to down and then back up again, that I think I've suffered permanent spinal damage from the ride. I kid of course, but yeah things have been rather shaky. On the one hand, I quit my previous job as an insurance agent due to being paid and treated poorly, and I found a job at another great place that I feel really treats its employees well and I'm actually an official employee of one of the Walt Disney Company's biggest subsidiaries. I'm not allowed to say which one but the job has actually been treating me really good, and I even got a promotion and raise recently. On the other hand, my mother's health has been in a rather steep
